International Desk:
US President Donald Trump’s Twitter account has been permanently blocked by Twitter authorities for fear of future violence and movement. Twitter Safety confirmed the matter in a tweet on Friday (January 8th) evening, local time in the United States. News CNN.
Twitter Safety wrote in the message, “We have closed the account permanently after reviewing a few recent tweets from Donald Trump’s account for fear of future violence.”
“We made it clear on Wednesday that any account would be permanently shut down due to repeated breaches of Twitter’s rules,” Twitter officials said.
The account has been permanently shut down due to a tweet from Trump originally intended to provoke supporters and his tweet last Friday announcing he would not attend Joe Biden’s swearing-in ceremony. Twitter thinks Trump has violated their rules with these two tweets.
Moreover, such tweets from Trump in the future could actually spread more violence.
His Twitter and Facebook accounts were temporarily shut down on Wednesday in the wake of an attack by Trump supporters on the Capitol in the US Capitol. Twitter was permanently shut down on Friday. Now let’s see what Facebook decides.
