Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that priority will be given to frontline fighters including doctors and law enforcers as soon as the corona vaccine is available.
The Prime Minister said this while addressing the nation on Thursday (January 7) evening on the occasion of the completion of two years of the present term of the Awami League government.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has remarked that 2020 has passed through a deep crisis due to Corona. “Corona vaccination has started in different countries,” he said. In Bangladesh too, we are trying our best to bring vaccination quickly. As soon as the vaccine arrives, doctors, health workers, members of the law enforcement and frontline fighters will be given priority.
Cyclone Amphan and successive floods have adversely affected our economy. We have been able to overcome those pressures with determination. But the world is not yet free from the coronavirus-caused crisis. By the infinite mercy of God Almighty, the infection and death rate in Bangladesh is still very low. We are trying our best to control this epidemic. Hopefully, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Corona fighters, including doctors, health workers, law enforcers, armed forces and members of the field administration, for their courage in tackling this epidemic.
The Prime Minister said after the spread of corona virus, people from all walks of life including leaders and activists of Bangladesh Awami League, Chhatra League and allied organizations have come forward to help the poor and helpless people. I sincerely thank everyone. I pray for the forgiveness and peace of the souls of those who have died.
