Turkey will stand by Bangladesh in repatriating large number of Rohingya people who fled Myanmar and took refuge in Bangladesh in the face of persecution, said the visiting Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavusuglu in Dhaka.
He said Turkey would work to ensure that they (Rohingya) could return to Myanmar safely.
On Wednesday (December 23) at the state guest house Padma, Foreign Minister. He said this after a meeting with AK Abdul Momen.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavusuglu said Turkey wants a peaceful solution to the Rohingya crisis.
He also mentioned the need to seek the advice of the United Nations and other international organizations for the relocation of Rohingyas to Bhasanchar. However, he said that the main solution was for the Rohingyas to return to Myanmar.
The Turkish Foreign Minister further said that trade between Bangladesh and Turkey is now one billion dollars. We want to raise it to two billion dollars in the future.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavusuglu arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday night for a two-day visit. Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen welcomed him at the airport. Foreign Minister at 11:30 on Wednesday. He had a meeting with AK Abdul Momen.
