Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been infected with coronavirus.
RAB DG confirmed the information on Thursday night.
DG said, “I tested the sample because I was feeling sick. Yesterday (Wednesday) Corona report came positive. He was later admitted to Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital, he said.
RAB DG further said, I am feeling a little better now. I wish everyone a speedy recovery. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, who attended the surrender ceremony of the pirates at Banshkhali in Chittagong, said that RAB DG’s corona was attacked.
RAB Deputy Director Major Raisul Azam Moni said the RAB Director General was supposed to be present at the surrender ceremony of the pirates at Banshkhali in Chittagong. But he could not come to the ceremony as the corona report came positive.
