Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday said all Russian vaccines against Covid-19 were effective, adding that the country would soon register a third shot against the virus.
Putin said Moscow was ready to cooperate with all other countries on coronavirus vaccines, but urged against politicising the process, the day after vaccine developers Pfizer Inc and BioNTech said their experimental Covid-19 vaccine was more than 90% effective.
He made the remarks while addressing a video conference at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference on Tuesday. News Reuters and CNBC.
Russia has so far developed two corona vaccines. The name of the first vaccine is ‘Sputnik-5’. The second one is called ‘Apivacarona’. Russia approved the first ticker last August.
This is the first corona vaccine to receive state approval in any country in the world.
Corona’s second tick was approved in mid-October.
Western researchers are skeptical of the Russian-made coronavirus vaccine because it does not fully follow all the steps of the test.
However, Russia has repeatedly claimed that their vaccines are effective and safe.
Putin even claimed that his daughter had received the vaccine. After the vaccination, antibodies were made in his body.
Russia has already said it has received vaccine orders from many countries.
